Pz.Kpfw. M 15

In September 1943, the German Army took control of the Italian Ansaldo company. At that time, the plant was producing the Carro Armato P26/40 and Carro Armato M15/42. The latter were designated Pz.Kpfw. M15/42 by Germany and became the most popular type of Italian combat vehicle in German service. During the repair of damaged vehicles in one of the units of the German Army, a hybrid of the Pz.Kpfw. M15/42 and Pz.Kpfw. 38 (t) was created by mounting the turret of one tank on the chassis of the other. The resulting vehicle was used in Yugoslavia, where it was captured by Yugoslavian troops in the spring of 1945.
